Fresh Baked Manna, began as a conduit of personal expression and has grown into one of the most sought after devotionals of the year. The Little Feet of Mexico
Mexico is the third largest country in Latin America. It's capital, Mexico City, is one of the world's largest cities and the most populous Spanish-speaking country in the world. Some 43.5 percent of the population is children under the age of 18. Approximately 109 million people live in Mexico and of that number 24 million live in extreme poverty; in many cases living on less than two dollars a day. Those who suffer most are the children.
It's alarming to see the number of children, many under the age of 8 who walk the streets of Mexico without even the basic necessities; particularly shoes. Every day the children in many of the villages walk on glass, garbage and even dead animals. As you can imagine, the conditions are unsafe and leave the children susceptible to infections, sickness and various diseases. In most cases, the households are making just enough to feed the children, so shoes are not viewed in many cases as a priority. We believe we have a mandate to reach and impact lives world wide with not just a message of hope but with an extension of the love of Jesus Christ.
Through The Little Feet of Mexico we can make a difference in a child's life. Through the freewill gifts of our partners we are able to provide shoes for many children in the villages of Mexico.
Here's how you can help:
- Pray: Ask God to open wide doors of opportunity for us to get our shoes into the country safely and for the resources necessary to carry this vision out. We believe in the power of prayer and know that it changes things that nothing else can.
- Plant a financial seed: In Matthew 19:21, Jesus stated that when we give to the poor, there will be treasure in heaven reserved for us. Your financial gift is tax deductible and will provide shoes for the children in the villages and rural areas of Mexico.
- Donate shoes: We gladly accept donations of new and/or gently used shoes. Shoes can be shipped or taken to World Outreach & Bible Training Center 4650 N. Port Washington Rd, Glendale, WI.
