World Outreach Center began on Saturday, January 14, 2006 inside a small church building located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with seven founding members: Pastor Skip and Melva Henderson, and their five children. With a standing room only crowd of supporters, Ervin and Melva shared their vision to reach the City of Milwaukee and the nations of the world.
At the conclusion of their first service, 12 individuals stepped out and joined themselves as the first official members of World Outreach Center.
Within seven months of its inception, the church outgrew its location and relocated to a larger facility at 2001 N. Holton Street and by December of 2007 the membership of World Outreach Center grew to nearly 250 individuals.
At the core of their vision is a heart to reach the City of Milwaukee and its surrounding communities with the life-transforming love of Jesus Christ. It’s a vision that is catching as more and more individuals are making it their own by becoming a part of the exciting family at World Outreach Center.
Small group ministry is an essential part of how ministry is done at World Outreach Center where it’s believed that real life change comes when people are in close, authentic relationships with one another. Through small groups World Outreach Center is big enough to serve you yet small enough to know you.
The vision of World Outreach Center continues to expand as the mission becomes clearer and stronger. From the beginning, there has been continued growth in every area as the focus remains on each generation. Adults, youth, and children alike are being impacted as World Outreach Center continues to teach, train, and develop in the uncompromised Word of God through regularly scheduled church services, small groups, special services, Bible Training Center, and Life Encounters.
